PEN American Center—one of the world’s oldest literary and human rights organizations—will join forces with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) for an event calling attention to acts of torture and abuse carried out by the United States since 9/11. David Cole will be joined by such authors as Paul Auster, Don DeLillo, and Art Spiegelman, who will will read from recently released secret documents that have brought these abuses to light.
